On View: MARCH 4 – APRIL 9, 2017 Working in a range of media that encompasses painting, textile, soft sculpture and video projection, Jorge Galván Flores explores themes of identity, place, and memory. In the exhibition Paisaje Roto/Passage Rot, the artist explores an array of premises that range from the relationship between one’s sense of self and the built landscape to the ways in which technology can activate memory and facilitate nostalgia. Blurring the boundaries between reality and fabrication and notions of “here” and “there,” Galván Flores illustrates how physical and psychological borders can be transgressed through the assistance of virtual portals. Gallery Hours: 11 AM-5 PM Tuesday-Friday. 1 PM-5 PM Saturday and Sunday. Museum is Closed on Mondays and all major holidays.
