Atchison County en West Nile Back In Kansas <p>The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says an adult from Atchison County has the state's first case of West Nile virus this year.<br><br>KDHE says on its website that a mosquito sample in Sedgwick County has also tested positive for West Nile, a virus that can be spread to people through bites from infected mosquitoes, but is not contagious from person to person.
