Steve Anderson en Brownback's Ex Budget Director To Work For Kansas Policy Institute <p>Former Kansas Budget Director Steve Anderson is going to work for a think tank that advocates tax cuts and lower school funding.<br><br>The certified public accountant will have a part-time consulting role with the Wichita-based Kansas Policy Institute.<br><br>KPI President Dave Trabert says Anderson's experience as a CPA and his time in government make him "uniquely qualified to find fiscally responsible solutions in government."<br><br>As the state's budget director for the past three years, Anderson pushed for Brownback's fiscal policies.<br> Mon, 09 Sep 2013 12:18:38 +0000 Associated Press 23135 at Kansas Budget Director Resigns <p>Gov. Sam Brownback says he's accepted the resignation of state Budget Director Steve Anderson. The governor commended his work and diligence.</p><p>Anderson will leave his office, effective the end of this month. He says he's taking more time with his wife and sons.</p><p>Anderson is a certified public accountant and managing partner of Anderson, Reichert and Anderson, LLC. The governor named him budget director in late 2010.
