Have you noticed a difference in our on-air schedule?

On November 17, 2014, NPR changed the on-air schedule of news, breaks, and local content during Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Little did we know that these schedule changes would have more of an impact than Daylight Saving Time.

Here at KMUW, we refer to the schedule as "the clock," so you might hear us say something about the changes to the clock. While we can't control these changes to "the clock," we can try to give you more information about them.

Near the bottom of this page, we have graphics for the schedules we follow during Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Of course, we can't make it easy. There's also a different schedule we follow during the 7 o'clock hour of Morning Edition.

Some of the main things you should know:

  • If you set your clocks by Writer's Almanac, you're not early. We actually air it one minute later, at 7:36 a.m. instead of 7:35 a.m.
  • If you're used to hearing our local commentary around 20 minutes past the hour, you haven't missed it! They now air around 30 minutes past the hour.
  • We're planning to air 2 different local commentaries throughout the day. Follow us on Twitter (@KMUW) if you'd like to have a 10 minute heads-up.

During the 5, 6, 8, & 9 o'clock hours of Morning Edition, we follow this schedule:

And finally, here's the new schedule for All Things Considered:
