Dalton is a graduate of Wichita State University, with a degree in integrated marketing communications from the Elliott School of Communication. He started at KMUW as an intern in September 2013.

After wearing numerous hats at the station, he took over membership in 2017. In addition, he coordinates the KMUW Street Team, manages underwriting accounting, and works as an announcer for the station during the 1A show.
