Joseph R. Keebler
Joseph R. Keebler is an assistant professor of psychology at Wichita State University. He received his Ph.D. in applied/experimental human factors psychology in 2011 from the University of Central Florida.
Joe’s research focuses on integrating technology into human-work systems, and includes diverse topics such as: medical teamwork, training in human-robot teams, and learning and expertise in musicians.
Joe has co-authored more than 40 scientific publications and proceedings papers, including articles in Theoretical Issues in Ergonomic Science, the Journal of Ergonomics, and the Journal of Cognitive Engineering and Decision Making.
He has also co-authored multiple grants which have examined aspects of human-robot teams in military settings and the use of video games for training HRI operators, and he was awarded a grant as Co-PI examining the effects of a virtual learning system for training pre-med and nursing students in anatomy.
In his spare time, Joe is an avid guitarist, pianist and composer.
