March 10/12

Crossroads kicks off the March feature celebrating the 75th birthday of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and the centennial birthday of Memphis soul legend Rufus Thomas (including music from his daughters Carla and Vaneese Thomas).

The 2017 Blues Hall of Fame Inductees were just announced and Crossroads will highlight the artists and recordings being honored this year, including Mavis Staples, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, and more.

Also, the Riverfest lineup was just announced and Crossroads will feature music from the blues and soul artists appearing here this year, along with music from blues artists with concerts in the coming week, and a salute to Ronnie Earl for his birthday.
