Wichita-based Beechcraft Corporation says it has received a $1.4 billion plane order; the company believes this to be the largest propeller aircraft order, by value, in general aviation history.
Beechcraft says Wheels Up ordered 105 King Air 350i aircraft, valued at $788 million dollars.
Beechcraft will also be the maintenance provider for this new private aviation company in North America and Western Europe.
Beechcraft says nine planes will be delivered this year, and a total of 35 will be delivered between now and 2015.
The deal includes options for 70 more aircraft as Wheels Up expands over the next few years.
