Best of 2014 Top 20 Countdown

January 2/4

Crossroads counts down the Top 20 blues favorites, plus two fine releases from local artists – the Terry Quiett Band (disbanding in 2015) and Rachelle Coba, to kickoff the January Best of 2014 feature.

Crossroads will be featuring the Top 30 list of favorites throughout January, along with Grammy and Blues Music Award nominees, award winners, Rock Hall of Fame inductees (Steve Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, the 5 Royales, Bill Withers, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band) and more of the best of the blues from the past year. The full Crossroads Top 30 list of favorites can be found here.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show. Chris is also a critic and freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Utne, Global Rhythm, Dirty Linen, and Option, among others.
