Plus new music from singer and pianist Shirley Horn, singer and trumpeter Bria Skonberg, Phil Norman Tentet’s tribute to jazz classics, and Tony Foster’s tribute to Morricone and Mancini.

It’s also the birthday of one of the rising stars of the jazz organ, Pat Bianchi. And there are new releases from singers Allan Harris and Abbey Lincoln, organist Mike LeDonne with his Groover Quartet, and the lively ‘Sun-Ra-Meets-Crescent-City-Brass-Band’ group, the Revolutionary Snake Ensemble.
