Crossroads takes a holiday break to make way for two holiday blues and R&B specials. In hour one, it’s the Juke In The Back R&B Christmas Special with cool tunes by Big John Greer, Champion Jack Dupree, Lowell Fulson, The Moonglows, Marvin & Johnny and many more. Then in the second hour it’s a Blue Dimensions special with rare and unusual blues, R&B and swing seasonal songs from the Reverend J. M. Gates, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Leadbelly, Butterbeans & Susie, the Rob Parton Big Band, Nnenna Freelon and Nicole Henry among others - and the Grinch will make a special appearance with guitarist John Hart and organist Akiko Tsuruga .
