Crossroads continues the October Elvin Bishop feature for his 75th birthday with music from his Big Fun Trio and Can’t Even Do Wrong Right albums.
Bishop also shares a birthday (October 21, one year later) with Steve Cropper, the legendary Stax guitarist who was a cofounder of Booker T. & the MGs as well as the cowriter of a number of soul classics. Crossroads features a few of those classics in the first hour and a special conversation with Cropper in hour two of the show.
Plus music from a number of artists with concerts in the coming week and from Rhiannon Giddens, who just received a MacArthur “Genius Grant.”
