Halstead Will Pay You In Chamber Bucks To Move There

Halstead wants to pay people to move there.

The town about 30 miles northwest of Wichita has begun offering financial incentives ranging up to $2,500 to people who move to their community.

New residents will be offered Chamber Bucks, which can be spent only in Halstead, for city and school expenses and at most of the town’s businesses.

The incentives range from $25 for signing up for utilities or enrolling a child in school to $2,500 for building a new house.
