Kansas residents who receive Medicare benefits will soon see new information on their claim statements. These changes include:
- clearer information about the benefits residents are entitled to receive.
- a rundown of the services that have been rendered.
- information showing if a claim is denied.
- notice if a claim was filed for services that the recipient didn't receive.
State secretary of aging and disability services Shawn Sullivan says federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services are trying to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in the health care system. Residents should start seeing the new summaries this month.
