Also music from the newly named Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award winners for this year – including the Hi Rhythm Section that played such a pivotal role in the signature sound of the Hi label, and Robert Cray, whose new album features Hi Rhythm.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show.
