New Robert Cray, Shemekia Copeland And Preview Of Joe Louis Walker

September 18/20

New music this time at the Crossroads from Robert Cray, Shemekia Copeland, Smokin’ Joe Kubek with Bnois King, and a sneak peek at the new album from Joe Louis Walker due out next month.

Plus more for the ‘September 90’ feature celebrating three artists born 90 years ago this month – R&B singer Roy Brown, blues hitmaker Jimmy Reed, and blues legend B.B. King.

In hour two of the show, we offer an encore presentation of a 2005 special hosted by Grammy-winning bluesmanKeb' Mo' that was originally done to celebrate B.B. King's 80th Birthday.  B.B. talks about life, music, and what it was like to meet the president – along with music from the King and special guest appearances from Carlos Santana, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, John Mayall, and Pat Metheny.
