At Play: Let's Get Musical!

The Wichita State University School of Performing Arts presents Crazy For You from May 2 to the 5. Crazy for You is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930s playboy, whose dream in life is to dance. Despite the serious efforts of his mother and soon-to-be ex-fiancée, Bobby achieves his dream in an unexpected place. It’s a high-energy comedy that includes mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers, and classic Gershwin music. The memorable Gershwin score includes “Nice Work if You Can Get it,” “They Can’t Take That Away from Me," “I Got Rhythm” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.” Performances of this production take place in Wilner Auditorium.

The Forum Theatre presents The Full Monty now through May 19. Based on the 1997 film, this musical comedy follows six unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York who have no cash and no prospects.

They set out to make some quick cash by showing off their "real man" bodies in their own stripper act.

Wichita Community Theatre is presenting its final performances of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream this week, the production closes May 5.
