February 12/14
Crossroads kicks off the February feature celebrating The R&B Years by delving into a wonderful import compilation series covering the early ‘40s to the mid ‘50s with both classic and rare R&B gems. We’ll highlight sounds from the first four of twelve volumes in the series this time, with more to come through the rest of the month.
And this weekend marks the birthdays of West Side blues great Magic Sam and soul star Maceo Parker (from James Brown’s band). Crossroads highlights music from both, along with the best in new blues titles.
