Soulsations Sunday: Motown Legend Smokey Robinson Releases Duets Album

Hear music from Motown legend Smokey Robinson. The acclaimed singer-songwriter has a new release out called Smokey & Friends.  The duets album features songs with Ledisi, John Legend, Elton John and James Taylor.  Once pronounced by Bob Dylan as America’s “greatest living poet”, the acclaimed singer-songwriter’s career spans over 4 decades of hits.  He's been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame.

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW. She produces and hosts the R&B and gospel show Soulsations and brings stories of race and culture to The Range with the monthly segment In the Mix. Carla was inducted into The Kansas African American Museum's Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2020 for her work in broadcast/journalism.
