Soulsations this week: Christopher Williams' first release in over 10 years, Women in Soul on PBS

Soulsations, Sunday, April 6: R&B singer-songwriter and actor Christopher Williams is back.

It’s been more than a decade since Williams’ last release Real Men Do.  The balladeer, who is the nephew of the legendary Ella Fitzgerald, returns with the soulful new single, Not Conditional.   Plus, new gospel music from Mary Mary songstress, Erica Campbell.

And tune in to KPTS Channel 8 Monday, April 7 at 8 p.m. for the Women of Soul broadcast. President and Mrs. Obama recently welcomed Aretha Franklin, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott and others to perform the songs made famous by the remarkable original women of soul. They overcame adversity through the power and passion of their music - from Etta James to Diana Ross to Aretha herself.

'In Performance at the White House': Patti LaBelle and others shine at the Women in Soul event that airs Monday night on PBS.
