Known for her work with The B-52’s Cindy Wilson has recently released her first-ever solo effort, the EP Sunrise. Informed by her love psychedelic music but with contemporary sensibilities, the release demonstrates Wilson’s power as a vocalist and the diversity of her musical interests. We’ll hear selections from that release as well as music from Wild Planet, the 1980 sophomore release by The B-52’s.
Thursday, November 3
American Football has just returned with its first album in 17 years, marking only the second album from the group, which reunited in 2014. We’ll hear selections from that release as well as music from the reissue of Midlake’s 2006 release The Trials of Van Occupanther.
Friday, November 4
It’s our New Month, New Music show with selections from Conor Oberst, NRBQ, ESP Ohio and others.
Saturday, November 5
Released in 1978 At Yankee Stadium remains one of the essential releases from NRBQ, featuring songs such as “I Love Her, She Loves Me” and covers of classics such as “Get Rhythm.” We’ll hear selections from this recording as well as music from Fevers and Mirrors the 2000 release by Bright Eyes.

We celebrate the birthday of Joni Mitchell with music from throughout her career, including several cover versions of her songs.
Tuesday, November 8
Released on November 8, 1972, Transformer was Lou Reed’s second solo release. Co-produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson, the album features Reed classics such as “Perfect Day,” “Walk on the Wild Side” and “Satellite of Love.” We’ll hear selections from it as well as music from Bowie’s 1978 release, Stage.

Listen for selections from Alone, the latest album from the Pretenders, produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys as well as music from Day Breaks, the latest by Norah Jones.
