Kansas Global Trade Services in Wichita received a Presidential Award in Washington D.C this week for Export Service.

The President’s “E” Award recognizes four consecutive years of sustained commitment to export expansion. The award is the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of American exports.

Karyn Page, president and CEO of Kansas Global Trade Services, says the award is high recognition of the organization's collaborative effort with regional and state partners. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross presented the award on Monday.

“Commerce Secretary Ross actually called out the export plan and our management of it as part of the reason we were selected," Page says. "The other thing he mentioned was our customized market research for individual Kansas companies.”

Kansas Global was the only Kansas company recognized this year. Top exports for Wichita and Kansas continue to be transportation equipment, aircraft and aircraft parts.
