Wife Of Senate Majority Leader Terry Bruce Granted Diversion In DUI Case

Senate Majority Leader Terry Bruce’s wife, Sarah, has been granted a diversion and fined for driving under the influence.

Bruce was arrested last December in Hutchinson after getting into a car accident with another vehicle. No one was injured, but court records show her blood alcohol level was .159.

Sarah Bruce will be given at least six months to complete requirements of her diversion.

If she does that, the driving under the influence charge will be dismissed.

Bruce sued the state to have her driving privileges restored.

That lawsuit is still pending in Reno County District Court.
