Ennovar, the Institute of Emerging Technology and Market Solutions at Wichita State University announced details of a new partnership with California-based Social Networking Technology Inc. today. KMUW’s Abigail Wilson has more…

The one-year contract, worth more than $600,000, will provide for 18 student positions in the fall semester and up to 30 positions by the end of the contract. Student salaries and nearly $30,000 of tuition reimbursement for students who work for the institute for a full semester are also included in the contract.

Stuart Bruck, Chairman of Social Networking Technology, says the company chose to partner with WSU because they believe that the educational setting and work world are complementary.

“I don’t think it should be a choice for students to either go to school or work in the real world in order to become competitive,” Bruck says.

Social Networking Technology Inc. or SNT established an office in Wichita earlier this year. The web-based technology company partners with more than 500 media properties in the U.S. to which it brings digital content from its technology platform.
