Soulsations takes listeners on an engaging musical journey of R&B and Gospel music.

You’ll hear the sounds of Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly, dubbed the best kept secret in the industry, musical innovators Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye along with other tunes from Motown’s golden era. You’ll discover the distinct sounds of contemporary gospel from Yolanda Adams to the long-time a cappella gospel quartet the Fairfield Four, known as house wreckers because they “bring down the house” when they perform.

We’ll also showcase new works from seasoned R&B veterans including Al Green and Aretha Franklin plus gospel siblings BeBe & CeCe Winans. Join Carla Eckels Sunday evenings for an hour of pure musical enjoyment.

Sunday, May 15 Sunday on Soulsations we'll hear new music from contemporary R&B artist Maxwell including "Lake by the Ocean". The new single from one of the pioneers of the "neo soul" movement is featured in the second installment of his musical trilogy. The first album in the trilogy, BLACKsummers'night, was released in 2009.

Sunday, May 8 It’s the birthday month of Stevie Wonder. The musical genius will be 66 years-old on May 13th. We’ll celebrate with his signature tunes all month long. Also hear music from vocalist-pianist Frank McComb. His tenor voice can sound eerily like Stevie Wonder.

Sunday, May 1 Sunday on Soulsations , hear Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Tasha Cobbs. The soul-stirring singer will be one of the headliners during the Gospel portion of Riverfest in Wichita, June 6th. Cobbs heads The iLead Escape ( www.theiLeadEscape.com ), a global ministry mentorship program that aids 2,000 mentees in music ministry. She also released a book called WORSHIP 101 , a manual that revisits the basics of worship.

Sunday, April 17 Sunday on Soulsations Take 6 has released a new album called Believe . Hear “You Know You Are In Love,” a collaboration with musical genius Stevie Wonder. Plus, we continue our month long celebration of inspirational sounds from siblings BeBe & CeCe Winans.

Sunday, April 10 Hear inspirational sounds from gospel music mega stars BeBe and CeCe Winans. The sister and brother duo were honored in Atlanta, Georgia at the 2016 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards. Charles Randolph-Wright, Director of Motown the Musical will present a fun-loving musical stage play about the siblings in Atlanta April 13th-May 15th called Born For This! The BeBe Winans Story. Sunday, April 3 Sunday on Soulsations we'll hear the distinctive soulful sounds of Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. The band has been performing for nearly thirty years and continues to attract sold-out audiences. Frankie Beverly and Maze is considered one of the most influential groups in modern history. In 2012, the band was awarded a BET Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sunday, March 27 This week on Soulsations we feature songs for Easter including a phenomenal gospel tune from spectacular soprano, L’Tanya Moore-Copeland. The Atlanta choir director sings and talks about a well-loved classic, “He Decided to Die."
