Soulsations takes listeners on an engaging musical journey of R&B and Gospel music.

You’ll hear the sounds of Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly, dubbed the best kept secret in the industry, musical innovators Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye along with other tunes from Motown’s golden era. You’ll discover the distinct sounds of contemporary gospel from Yolanda Adams to the long-time a cappella gospel quartet the Fairfield Four, known as house wreckers because they “bring down the house” when they perform.

We’ll also showcase new works from seasoned R&B veterans including Al Green and Aretha Franklin plus gospel siblings BeBe & CeCe Winans. Join Carla Eckels Sunday evenings for an hour of pure musical enjoyment.

Sunday on Soulsations sensational funk, jazzy sounds from the newly formed MF Robots.  The duo, Jan Kincaid and Dawn Joseph, are former members of the band Brand New Heavies.  The two will release their second single "Come On With The Good Thing " on April 14th.

He’s been described as totally original with a voice impossible to mistake. We remember jazz soul artist Al Jarreau. The 76-year-old 7 time Grammy winner died Friday, February 12, 2017.

Hear music from Sister Sledge best known for their 1979 anthem "We Are Family." Vocalist Joni Sledge, a founding member of the R&B group, died March 10th.  She was 60 years old.

Hear music from 70's R&B funk band Slave. The Ohio band is known by its most popular songs “Just A Touch of Love,” “Watching You,” “Slide” and “Weak at the Knees.”  Former lead singer Steve Arrington, who joined the band in 1979, is currently in studio working on a new release.
