Art: Touring Wichita

Star Wars Exhibit Opens This Weekend At Exploration Place

The Force is strong in Wichita.

Not only is May 25 the 35th anniversary of the release of the first star wars film – A New Hope.

It is also the day before the much anticipated exhibit – Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination opens at Exploration Place.

Exploration Place Hosts Design Forum

The Exploration Place is accepting design ideas for its new aviation pavilion, “Design Build Fly,” Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Exploration Place announced the planning phase of this new aviation exhibit in September 2011. The new pavilion will replace the current Exploration Flight and Design Area.

The exhibit will receive continuous support from the Wichita State Engineering department, National Institute for Aviation Research and all other aviation industry members.
