The building has a new roof, and the triple sash windows have been primed, prepped and painted. A new sewer line was put in place at the beginning of April.
Next steps for the restoration of the baby camp include getting water and electricity as well as finishing the triple sash windows that at one time pulled in much-needed fresh air.
The Friends of the Historic Fresh Air Baby Camp estimate that the restoration will be completed in the fall. The building is located in a city park, so it will be open for public use.
