Wichita Public Schools is seeking community input as the school district aims to pitch another bond issue to voters this November.
USD 259 officials have presented three different plans, each totaling $615 million.
Key projects in each of the plans include improving heating and air-conditioning systems across the district, rebuilding several elementary and middle schools and preserving Wichita’s six oldest high schools.
The Wichita Board of Education will decide in June which plan to pitch to voters in November.

📢 Walking Tours - volunteer docents wanted!
Do you have a passion for architecture, local history and education? If you do, then we want to hear from you! Join us at Allen House on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. to learn more about becoming a Walking Tour docent. Help us grow this popular series, which includes the College Hill Walking Tour and the new Belmont Place: Between the Arches Walking Tour, by becoming a trained volunteer Lead Docent.
Learn about the different tour types with Alan (Walking Tour Lead Docent) and about training and volunteer perks with Leigh (Director of Museum Operations). No prior experience necessary. This opportunity is also open to high school juniors, seniors and college students!
