Conceived as a cross between a Sunday newspaper and CBS' Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt, Weekend Edition Sunday features interviews with newsmakers, artists, scientists, politicians, musicians, writers, theologians and historians.
The program has covered news events from Nelson Mandela's 1990 release from a South African prison to the capture of Saddam Hussein.
E-Town
eTown is an exciting weekly radio show that’s been on the air from coast to coast for 21 years. Unlike any other program, eTown mixes live music from top performers in a wide variety of styles with conversation and information about our communities, our environment and common sense stewardship. Every eTown show is full of great music, and the musicians get a chance to open up during interviews with host, Nick Forster. This American Life is a weekly public radio show hosted by Ira Glass and broadcast on more than 500 stations to about 1.8 million listeners. It is produced by Chicago Public Media, distributed by Public Radio International, and has won all of the major broadcasting awards.
It is also often the most popular podcast in the country, with around 700,000 people downloading each week.
The Splendid Table
In 1994, acclaimed food writer and cooking teacher Lynne Rossetto Kasper was receiving accolades for her debut book, The Splendid Table, which at that time was the only book to have won both the James Beard and Julia Child Cookbook of the Year awards.
Among the many people enchanted by the book was producer and foodie Sally Swift, who thought the time could be right for a radio program on food.

The weekly, hour-long program offers a mix of feature stories and segments to help people better manage, save and spend money. Marketplace Money airs weekends on public radio stations.
