Abortion opponents are redoubling their efforts in Wichita to use zoning laws to drive out a clinic that provides abortions.
Representatives from four groups will ask Wichita's City Council Tuesday to rezone the neighborhood around the South Wind Women's Center to ban abortions.
Speakers from Kansans for Life, Operation Rescue, World of Life Church and the Kansas Coalition for Life are on the council agenda.
The city planning commission rejected a similar effort to rezone the building earlier this year.
The property had been used for medical purposes since 1937.
