There’s new music from Snidero with Jeremy Pelt (in a tribute to Cannonball Adderley), soul jazz group Organissimo, and pianist Ben Paterson (in a tribute to the drummer-less trios of Nat Cole and Oscar Peterson); and we continue our celebration of Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month with music from Akiko Tsuruga, the Asian American Jazz Trio, Tiger Okoshi, and Makoto Ozone.

Night Train marks birthdays of percussionist Armando Peraza (with Cal Tjader), pianist Dave McKenna, guitarist Randy Napoleon (featured on a new album with Freddy Cole), and big band star Benny Goodman (including a special about him in hour two of the show). And there’s new music from the Barrett Martin Group, Jim Snidero with Jeremy Pelt, and the OKB Trio.
