At Play Theatre Roundup: 1/7 - 1/20

Wichita’s Forum Theatre presents The Mystery of Irma Vep January 10 through February 3 with Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. matinees. Hailed as "the funniest two hours on any stage" by The New York Times, this comedy is a send-up to every B-rated Gothic Horror film ever made and the theatre of the ridiculous. This production features actors Ray Wills and Monte Wheeler. Written by Charles Ludlam and winner of Obie and Outer Critic Circle awards, this Off-Broadway sensation is one of the most produced plays worldwide and is the longest running play in Brazil.

Opening January 11 at Mosley Street Melodrama is The Greater Tuna, directed by JR Hurst. The production runs until February 2 on Fridays and Saturdays only.

Also on the horizon are performances of Jersey Boys at Century II, opening January 30 and Wichita Community Theatre’s production of Brighton Beach Memoirs also opening later this month.
