The Sedgwick County Election Office is getting ready for the 4th Congressional District special election.

The voting registration deadline is March 21 for the April 11 election.

Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman says on March 22, the office will be mailing ballots to people who want to vote from home.

“Then on March 27 our office will open, and we will be open 8 to 5 on weekdays for early voting, so you can come and vote early in person,” Lehman says.

Fifteen early voting centers will be open across Sedgwick County from April 6-8. Lehman says seven of the polling places have changed.

People who register to vote using the federal form will not have to show proof of citizenship. The federal forms are available by request at the Sedgwick County Election office.
