September 90 - B.B. King, Jimmy Reed, Roy Brown

September 11/13

Crossroads kicks off the September feature of music from three great artists who would have turned 90 this month – king of the blues B.B. King, blues hitmaker Jimmy Reed, and innovative R&B and roots of rock singer Roy Brown.

Plus music from artists with concerts in the coming week; new music from Ted Drozdowski’s Scissormen, Anthony Gomes, Barry Levenson, and the Joe Moss Band; and a B.B. special in hour two of the show.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show. Chris is also a critic and freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Utne, Global Rhythm, Dirty Linen, and Option, among others.
