KMUW Music will be celebrating International Women's Day with five hours of music! Tune in to Global Village, Strange Currency, and Night Train on Wednesday, March 8 from 7:00 to midnight.
To celebrate International Women's Day, Global Village will feature music from female artists from around the world – including Cape Verde’s barefoot diva Cesaria Evora, the Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz, Mali’s acclaimed Oumou Sangare, fado star Mariza, African vocal group Zap Mama, and rock icon Marianne Faithfull.
And then on Strange Currency, we'll continue the celebration with selections from Joni Mitchell, Mia Doi Todd, PJ Harvey, Valerie June, and many more.
