Stick Men is the musical project featuring Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin of King Crimson as well as Markus Reuter, who has collaborated with both musicians in The Crimson ProjeKCt. Stick Men’s latest release is titled Prog Noir. We’ll hear selections from that as well as music from Mike Watt’s Ring Spiel ‘95 live album featuring Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters.

Marc Ford is perhaps best known for his work with the Black Crowes but has performed with a variety of acts including Ben Harper. Ford is back with a new release, The Vulture, credited to Marc Ford and The Neptune Blues Club. We’ll hear selections from that release as well as from the 1996 Black Crowes album Three Snakes and One Charm.

We'll remember Canadian songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen, who died on November 10 at the age of 82.
Tuesday, November 15
We'll remember musician Leon Russell. The Oklahoma native, whose death was announced on Sunday, was a well-known sideman and solo artist, having collaborated with a wide range of artists, including George Harrison, Joe Cocker, and Elton John, among many more.
Wednesday, November 16
Transformer is the 1972 release from Lou Reed and features classics such as “Perfect Day” and “Walk on the Wild Side.” We’ll hear selections from this and from David Bowie’s Stage recording.
Thursday, November 17
The Rigel Axiom is a brand-new EP from Danish retro synth artist Dynatron. Listen for music from that recording as well as from Transhumanism from Tommy 86.
Friday, November 18
Released in 1997 Be Here Now was the third album by British band Oasis. We’ll hear music from that as well as selections from Transience by Steven Wilson.
Saturday, November 19
Van der Graaf Generator was formed in 1967 in Manchester, England. Over the course of a decade the group released several innovative albums in the progressive rock genre including 1971’s Pawn Hearts. Listen for music from that release on this episode of the show as well as selections from One of A Kind, the 1979 album from Bruford, featuring Yes, Genesis and King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford.
