At one time Cathie was the lead singer for the group Cherish the Ladies but she's been performing on her own for several years. Cathie has been featured on NPR and on stages around the world – this concert is from her performance at the Old Settlers Inn.

What's On: November 3

Listen for Celeste Krenz and Sally Barris recorded at the Old Settlers Inn. The two women shared a concert at the Old Settlers Inn and provided backup vocals for each others' tunes. It was a rare chance to see these performers on the same stage.

Celeste Krenz was born and raised in North Dakota and represents a blend of contemporary singer-songwriter and Americana. Sally Barris is now based in Nashville and works as a performer and a songwriter. Many of her songs have been covered by country artists including Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride.

What's On: October 27

Listen to a recorded performance by Canadian singer-songwriting group Easily Amused from the Linesight Gallery in Wichita. Easily Amused was formed by Keith MacPherson and Renee Lamoureaux (who now go by “Keith and Renee”.)  The duo was recorded at Linesight Gallery in Wichita. They have released four CDs, the last one in 2010.

What's On: October 13

Listen for folk and Americana musician Slaid Cleaves, recorded at the Old Settlers Inn. Slaid performs both as a solo acoustic act and with other musicians.  He first gained notice in 1992 when he won the Kerrville Folk Festival “New Folk” competition. He hit the Americana charts in 2000 with his album and song “Broke Down.”  In 2006 he released “Unsung,” a collection of songs written by other singer-songwriters.

Listen for Krista Detor at the Old Settlers Inn. Krista is a singer-songwriter who has performed at venues around the world – including several times at the Old Settlers Inn. She’s currently an artist in residence at the American Embassy School in New Dehli, India.  She has ventured beyond standard songwriting and is currently working on a non-traditional musical theater piece based on “The Songlines” by Bruce Chatwin.

Listen for a performance by Zoe Lewis and the Rubber Band at the Old Settlers Inn. Zoe is an English folk musician from Brighton who now lives in Massachusetts. Her shows are best described as "fun" and you'll hear everything from traditional folk tunes to ballads to world beat to vaudeville.  Her instruments include the tin whistle, guitar, piano, harmonica, ukulele, accordion, human trumpet and sometimes spoons. Her band is made up of some of the best musicians working today.
