Strange Currency airs six nights a week on KMUW, bringing you new releases, old favorites and forgotten classics. We spotlight local and regional acts, including guests on Currency Exchange, our live in-the-studio program recorded at the KMUW studios.
Jedd Beaudoin invites you to listen 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 to 9:00 on Saturday as he opens up his personal music vault and lets you in.

When singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams was about to begin work on her 2023 memoir, she turned to her friend Roseanne Cash for some guidance. Cash had some wise words for Williams but not ones she wanted to hear. -
Wichita band Darlin' Maudie plays a reunion show this week. Co-founding member Nick Evancho says that in selecting songs for the new show, he opted for a kinder, gentler version of the band. -

Vinyl records remain a popular item for music fans but getting your record pressed can be expensive. Josh Thomas of the Kansas City, Missouri band RXGhost, found a way around that: He started pressing his own records. -
Low Cut Connie's Adam Weiner cut his musical teeth playing in dive bars. It was there that he met many of the people who have informed his songs. He adds that fans sometimes tell him they identify with those characters and he couldn't be happier.
